Now, if you don't see your dad often, the annual or quarterly visits might reveal more signs of age than you are willing to accept.
My dad is 64 and lives nine miles from me. My family sees him a lot at least once a week on average. I fish with him, go on trips with him as company and occasionally hunt with him. He watches our children when we are over-scheduled and he sometimes even picks them up from school for us.
I've never lived far from my parents and have benefited immensely from this proximity.
