It seems like a logical suggestion to me but it will probably never happen because, like the coaches, the referees have their own association and they won't let you near a game until you've been holding a whistle for 15 years.
They, like their coaching counterparts, are so hung up on the detail that they don't see the bigger picture.
Sam Allardyce is a fine example of the type I'm talking about. A devotee of ProZone, he took severe umbrage when Gareth Southgate was given a chance at Middlesbrough without the required badges and wasted no time in telling the world about his grievance.
Apart altogether from the fact that the owner of a club should be able to hire Bozo the Clown to manage if he feels the need, Allardyce and his coaching cronies decided that they knew better -- and they don't.
Funnily enough, Southgate is still the manager at Middlesbrough and Allardyce is currently out of work, no doubt seething while he watches much less qualified men than him and a bunch of foreigners managing in the Premier League.
Allardyce is part of a generation of over-coached English coaches that has, so far, failed to produce any successful managers of note and is the main reason why increasing numbers of foreign managers have been making a living in England.
The next wave of young managers is now upon us and only time will tell whether lads like Mark Hughes, Roy Keane or Paul Ince can make their own mark on the game
For example, virtual 'Rolex' watches can be found throughout Second Life, but their pedigree is somewhat suspect, because it is unknown whether users were authorized by The Rolex Company to create these virtual wares. Is this trademark infringement? As with any legal question of this sort, the answer is: it depends.
The test for trademark infringement is whether there is a likelihood of confusion between the alleged infringing use and the actual owner's use of the trademark. Famous marks, such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, and Rolex, also can stop others from using the trademark if that other use would 'dilute' the distinctiveness of the famous mark
